What is a Robotic CCTV Technician?

In this role, you aren't just a laborer; you are a technical specialist. You will operate motorized crawler units—equipped with high-definition cameras and sensors—to navigate the underground 'veins' of our city. Your mission is to identify structural threats like corrosion, blockages, or collapses before they cause a surface-level disaster. This is a high-precision trade that combines field mechanics with digital reporting.

A Day in the Field

6:30AM: Pre-trip Inspection

Morning: Meet at the shop, check the truck’s fluids, and make sure the crawler and cables are clean and working.

On-Site

Set up traffic control (cones/signs), pop the manhole, and get the robot into the line. You'll spend most of the day in the truck operating the camera.

Afternoon

Wrap up the digital logs, clean the gear, and head back to the shop to prep for tomorrow.
